The Trinity - The Complete Godhead - Universal Highest Authority
|
The Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost
Dr. McGee notes that in a search of the scriptures you will not find the word trinity. What you will find are scriptures that
clearly point out the existence of the trinity. Early in the Old Testament you see and read of the indication of the persons of
the Godhead.
And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and
over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
Genisis 1:26.
Then later in Genisis 11:7-8 another indication of the plurality of the Godhead: Go to, let us go down, and there confound
their language, that they may not understand one another's speech. So the LORD scattered them abroad from thence upon
the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city.
It would also be written in Isaiah 6:8: Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?
Then said I, Here am I; send me. Here again uses the word “us” to denote more than one.
I will include the NIV (New International Version) of these scriptures for perhaps an easier read of the same scriptures.
Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the
birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals,[a] and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”
Genesis 1:26
Come, let us go down and confuse their language so they will not understand each other.”
So the LORD scattered them from there over all the earth, and they stopped building the city. Genesis 11:7-8
Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?”
And I said, “Here am I. Send me!” Isaiah 6:8
